You've probably seen a commercial or two for Match.com® telling you "it's okay to look." At Spark.com, not only is it okay to look, but it's also okay to talk.

Unlike Spark.com, Match.com only lets subscribers communicate freely with other paying subscribers, which means that the chances that the person you are interested in can respond to your email aren't very high. At Spark.com, everyone can read emails and respond to them for free, thus increasing your chances of finding real, meaningful relationships with people like you.

Again, while Match.com says "it's okay to look," the site is littered with incomplete profiles with very little information, and even more that have no photos. When you join Spark.com, you are required to take a brief personality test that helps you understand more about yourself while, at the same time, teaches you how to best interact with other members of the site. Spark.com, unlike Match, also requires all new members to upload photos within 72 hours of registering, so that all members can see the faces behind the profiles.
